How wide should curtains be?
Combined curtain width is commonly 1.5 to 2.5 times the rod width, depending on the fabric and desired fullness.
How far should the rod extend?
Extending the rod about 6 to 10 inches beyond each side of the window lets panels stack away from the glass.
Should curtains touch the floor?
Floor-length curtains usually finish about half an inch above the floor. Puddled curtains are intentionally longer.
How many panels do I need?
The calculator divides the required full curtain width by the width of one panel and rounds up.
